Local business sponsorships help fund the Greensboro Velo Club Racing Teams. Racing every year since 1976, the team currently counts 45 to 60 members throughout the season. Team members represent the GVC in all racing categories and age divisions, on road and on mountain bikes. Team members annually elect a captain for the road, mountain and junior mountain divisions. Sponsorship monies are awarded at season's end, based on the number of races entered and the completion of volunteer requirements within the club.
